Galeria - Obzor Location

Galeria complex stands by the central road connecting the cities Varna and Burgas. This location is at 50 km to the south from Varna, Bulgaria’s second largest city, and at 60 km from Varna airport.
Obzor is one of the oldest settlements at the Bulgarian Black sea coast. It was founded by ancient Thracians about 3000 years ago under the name Navloxos. Later, Greek colonists changed its name to Heliopolis, meaning the City of Sun. In the 1st c. B.C. Romans conquered the settlement and named it Theopolis. A temple of Jupiter was built.

Today Obzor is a small tourist town at the foot of Stara Planina Mountain. It obtained its statute of town in 1984. At this spot Nature has chosen to spread the longest beach of the Bulgarian Black sea coast: over 8 km of fine white sand.
